Talent Junction - who are we and what is our goal?

Day 1 of Talent Junction… exhilarating and anxiety ridden at the same time.  Existential what-ifs abound...  What better way to rid ourselves of these doubts than to launch and find out for ourselves. So here we are…

 

Who are we? 

Talent Junction is a finance focused recruitment platform where pre-assessed, quality candidates having the right fit can apply to openings at hiring companies. Companies can interview a filtered set of applicants and select/ onboard the successful ones.  The entire process for candidates and companies is managed seamlessly through systems and personal touch, thus speeding up the hiring process and ensuring a high-quality experience on both sides.

 

What is the problem?

Current corporate recruitment process is inefficient and expensive.  Finding and retaining talent has become increasingly difficult -- companies use a large number of job portals to advertise in the hope of finding the right candidate and many inadequately qualified candidates apply to multiple jobs in the hope that something will work out.  A typical spray and pray approach on both sides.  The result is long hiring cycles, costing companies significant sums of money towards both direct hiring costs and the much higher indirect "lost productivity" costs.  In addition, the lack of employer branding among candidates and inability to manage talent experience during & after the hiring/ onboarding process, results in low retention rates especially for in-demand talent.  

And what do the candidates feel about this process?  Job searches seldom count as happy memories in our lives. They involve countless anxious hours applying, interviewing and waiting to hear back. Most NEVER hear back. Its brutal and while candidates may believe otherwise, its not personal -- unfortunate as it is, its just the nature of the process as it stands today.

 

And how can it be resolved?

Recruitment is no longer an HR issue -- its a front and center challenge for the entire company leadership.  In a fast-growing market like India demanding ever more talent in diverse fields, this problem will only multiply in complexity over time.  The growing scale of the talent problem and the changes induced by the pandemic call for... rather necessitate a fresh rethink of the recruitment process -- one that digitalizes the process and personalizes with the right human touch, thus resulting in an efficient hiring cycle and a multi-fold improvement in experience on both sides. This is Talent Junction's vision and we have embarked on the journey to make this a reality.
